Terms of Service

EnlightEd is an AI-powered adaptive learning platform for students in Classes 6–10 across CBSE and ICSE boards in India. We offer personalised study plans, subject-wise practice questions, performance analytics, and structured learning batches to help students build stronger foundations and prepare more effectively.

By creating an account, purchasing a batch, or using any part of the EnlightEd platform, you (or, in the case of a student, your parent or guardian on your behalf) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

EnlightEd is intended for students aged approximately 11–16 years (Classes 6–10). The following conditions apply to all accounts:

• A parent or legal guardian must register on the student's behalf and accept these Terms • All registration information must be accurate and complete • One account per student — duplicate or shared accounts are not permitted • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials • Notify us immediately at support@enlighted.co.in if you suspect unauthorised access • We reserve the right to verify account details and suspend accounts where false information is detected

By using EnlightEd, you agree to use it only for its intended educational purpose. The following are prohibited:

• Share your login credentials with anyone else, including classmates or friends • Download, copy, reproduce, resell, or redistribute any platform content without written permission • Attempt to access content from batches you have not purchased • Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to extract content from the platform • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or tamper with the platform or its technology • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your grade, age, or identity • Upload or transmit content that is offensive, harmful, defamatory, or illegal • Use EnlightEd's content to commercially tutor, resell, or create derivative products

Academic Integrity: EnlightEd is a tool to help you learn. Using platform content to misrepresent your academic performance, cheat in school examinations, or submit AI-generated answers as your own work violates these Terms and undermines your own growth.

EnlightEd offers structured learning batches as one-time purchases. There are no recurring subscription charges. Each batch is a self-contained course or study programme for a specific class, subject, or goal.

• All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes • Payments are processed securely through a third-party payment gateway — we do not store card, UPI, or banking credentials • A purchase confirmation will be sent to the registered parent email address • Access to a purchased batch begins immediately upon successful payment

Refund Policy: • Refund requests made within 7 days of purchase and before more than 20% of the batch content is accessed will be considered • Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method • No refunds are issued after the 7-day window or once substantial content has been consumed • If a technical failure on our part prevents access to purchased content, we will offer a full refund or equivalent access extension at your choice • To request a refund, email support@enlighted.co.in with your transaction ID and reason

All platform content — including questions, explanations, video lessons, notes, assessments, AI-generated learning paths, interface design, graphics, and underlying software — is the exclusive property of EnlightEd or its licensed content providers, protected under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957 and other applicable IP law.

When you purchase a batch, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use that batch's content for your own learning during the access period. You may not:

• Share, resell, or transfer your access or purchased content to any other person • Record screen, screenshot, or capture and distribute platform content in any form • Create derivative works, summaries for redistribution, or competing products using our content • Use EnlightEd's name, logo, or brand identity without prior written consent

EnlightEd is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. While we work hard to deliver a high-quality learning experience:

• Academic outcomes: We do not guarantee specific exam scores, board results, or grades. Outcomes depend on individual effort, consistency, and circumstances. • Platform availability: We aim for high uptime but do not warrant 100% uninterrupted availability or complete freedom from errors. • AI recommendations: AI-generated recommendations and content are learning aids — they complement, not replace, classroom instruction, teacher guidance, and individual effort. • Content accuracy: All content is carefully curated and reviewed; if you find an error, please report it to support@enlighted.co.in. • Third-party links: We are not responsible for the content or practices of any external sites linked from our platform. • Batch content reflects the curriculum at the time of creation; we strive to keep it updated but cannot guarantee complete alignment at all times.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, EnlightEd, its founders, employees, and partners shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform • Loss of data due to technical failures (we maintain regular backups but cannot guarantee complete prevention) • Any academic result, exam outcome, or performance in school assessments • Actions or content of third-party services linked or integrated with the platform

Our total liability to any user for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by that user for the specific batch giving rise to the claim.

EnlightEd may suspend or terminate an account if:

• The user violates these Terms of Service • Fraudulent, abusive, or harmful behaviour is detected • False registration information (including false age) is discovered • The account has been inactive for more than 24 consecutive months

You may close your account at any time by emailing support@enlighted.co.in.

• Account closure is processed within 7 business days • Closure does not automatically entitle you to a refund • Your personal data on closure is handled per our Privacy Policy

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tamil Nadu, India.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices.

• The updated Terms will be published on our website with a revised effective date • Material changes will be communicated to registered parents via email with at least 14 days' notice • If you do not agree with updated Terms, you may request account deletion before the changes take effect • Continued use of the platform after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms
